Dandong in China is bordering the river Amrok with its neighboring North Korean city Shinuiju. Illegal North Korean immigrant Choongshim works at a massage place, but soon gets chased by the Chinese police. The shadow of despair does not disappear even after she gets to the house of a Korean business operator who has been good to her. Abyss-like despair of North Korean refugees makes a deep impression in the minds of the audience thanks to the location shooting in Dandong and stunning acting of the cast.
