Based on a Charlotte bronte novel of the same name. A younger English woman who finds herself without any prospects travels to the continent on a bold journey. She finds a home in a girls school where she becomes a teacher. Romance and intrigue ensue. I am not sure why this novel hasn't been found by Hollywood. Great story.
