This series is one of the best of its kind. Narrated by Anthony Qualye and containing some fabulous aerial photography including Bob Hoover's amazing upside down "iced tea pour" while barrel rolling his twin engined commuter. The series was sold retail as 6 VHS tapes of 12 episodes covering: 1、 "The Pioneers" 2、 "The Adventures Of Flight" 3、 "The Aeroplane goes to War" 4、 "Victory over the Sea" 5、 "Bombers" 6、 "Fighters" 7、 "Giants of the Air" 8、 "Rivals over the Atlantic" 9、 "Trail Blazers" 10、 "The Quest for Speed" 11、 "Lighter than Air" 12、 "Vertical Flight". Undoubtedly the voice of Anthony Quayle added to the success of the series as also did the excellent title music.
